UPDATE: Unleash the Vermin!
Today we reveal the next step in the Verdun experience - with all the focus on the Entente and Central Powers, we’ve overlooked a vital faction in the trenches – the rats. No more! With the working title ‘Unleash the Vermin’, we are working on several new squads with a range of loadouts and abilities. From the black rats (motto: ‘We eat anything’) and their food sense passive ability to the brown rats (‘Bigger is better’) with their multiple squad roles capable of burrowing, there will be a range of options available to rat players.

Get it up Ypres! Verdun adds Scottish squad
Scottish soldiers have arrived in World War 1 FPS Verdun [official site] and I’ve got nothing fancy to say about that, okay. As RPS’s junior Scottish correspondent, I feel pressure in matters concerning the country I’ve grown to love and I don’t want to blow it. I can swim in lochs, watch Still Game, and sing along to

Battlefield 1 s holiday truce includes new game mode
It’s easy to forget that as we sleep soundly in our beds, the screaming, blazing grindwar of Battlefield 1 [official site] is still happening on foreign servers. Snuggle up and I’ll tell you all about it.

Verdun to reenact WW1 Christmas Truce for War Child charity
Last Christmas, multiplayer WW1 FPS Verdun reimagined the 1914 Christmas Truce—a famous period of ceasefire during the first World War where soldiers are said to have downed tools, sang carols and played football—in-game. This year, it's doing the same, however the net profits of the three-tiered donation system will this time go to UK charity War Child.
